I, me, the entrepeneur
Invest in me, for sure...'
I am someone who does not focus on just one thing in life. In fact, as I was leaving school, careers officers would give me the usual words… “what would you like to do?”. Quite frankly, I hadn’t a clue. I still have that same answer. I'd like to try this, I'd like to try that. So, maybe I should just aim to be my own entrepreneur!
I’ve always had a passion for wanting to create things.
I started writing poetry when I was 9, inspired by my stepfather.
My love for the camera began about 9, taught by my stepfather.
My passion for short pieces of writing surfaced at university.
The last decade or so, a flare for digital and paper drawings.
Recent years, creating pieces of music.
I always wanted to turn my ideas into something real.
Example, put one of my designs onto a tote bag or see one of my designs on a piece of jewellery. It just never happened. I probably fell ill or I didn't have the marketing skills or funds.
I have, however successfully sold:
A number of prints/photography
My shortbread via a selling platform. Receiving good feedback
I've also had one of my poems published.
For years I have wanted to create my own website and showcase my work. So here it is.
We’d work on one of my projects together, negotiate and turn them into a business idea:
"My idea, your money, our share” comes to mind.
You could be an artist or singer and turn one of my poems into a song, then the copyright stays with me, but I receive ongoing royalties for as long as...
Perhaps a business wishes to invest in one of my pieces of art, ie utilise it in advertising.
You might even be a fashion designer wanting to work with me on my garment idea.
The investor will need to put money, marketing and resources to the project, and I will just take an ongoing percentage.
